It’s now official. Sony (SCEJ) has finally announced the details of the wireless Bluetooth headset for the Playstation 3. It sure looks sexy and it’s due out on October 30, 2008, which will be just in time for SOCOM: Confrontation (one of the PS3 games I’m waiting for). MotorStorm : Pacific Rift and Resistance 2 are two other PS3 games due out that this new headset will be great for.

As you can see, this Bluetooth wireless headset has the ear hook design and it will fit either ear. The included USB cable provides quick pairing too.

So, how does it perform? According to Sony, the new wireless headset, when fully charged, will allow for up to 8 hours of talk time (300 hours of standby time). That’s pretty good.

Another great feature is the on-screen indicators, which will show the headset’s connection status, battery charge level, mute status and speaker volume level whenever you want by simply pushing a button.

This new Bluetooth wireless headset is going to be packed into the SOCOM: CONFRONTATION package. The game itself is coming like Warhawk. You can buy the package with the headset. You can get just the game itself. And you can download it via PSN.
