How would you feel if you found out your little website made the Cool Site of The Day on coolsiteoftheday.com and you didn’t even know it till days later? Yup, you’d probably feel like an idiot.

I feel like a complete idiot. After working hard this past week in college and working on a second project (must keep lips sealed. I will tell you when I complete it). I was checking my inbox today which was filled with so much spam.

So I’m deleting my spam and come across this e-mail from Greg Smith with the subject line: Gazotto is Cool Site of the Day! Horray, but then I realize this is dated on February 12 and the site was cool site on the day on the 15th.

Well I feel like a shmuck. The e-mail begins: Congratulations! We are pleased to announce the selection of Gazotto by Cool Site of the Day as our featured Cool Site on Februrary 15, 2007.

Over 4000 people have visited the site on that day and I’m still getting some more people trickling in.

I learned two things from this experience:

1) Even a tiny humble blog can be a cool site.
2) Check your e-mail every day dang it!
