Seamless Internet is unveiling the next generation of Ultra-Mobile PC (UMPC) at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Microsoft released a UMPC last year, but Seamless Internet has revealed the S-XGEN UMPC this year.
It is an improvement because the gadget packs a larger keyboard but still folds into a tiny package. With other UMPCs the keyboard is often small and feels cramped, but it’s problem solved here with it’s foldable keyboard and larger buttons.
Added to that it combines communication, computing power, and entertainment into one beautiful package. The S-XGEN features a 520 MHz Intel processor, a 20 GB hard drive and 256MB of RAM. It also includes a large 4-inch LCD touch screen which sharply produces files, images and video in stunning color.
It also comes with media and gaming controls. The S-XGEN features multiple connectivity features: built-in WiFi, Bluetooth, and Cellular wireless connectivity. There is a USB connection for added input connections. Communication can occur easily because it can be used as a cell phone and also includes a 280 pixel resolution web camera.
The S-XGEN comes preloaded with Microsoft’s Windows Pocket PC and Office. The S-XGEN truly does let you leave the notebook and cell phone behind by combing both into a tiny package but still allowing for comfort on the part on the user.
The S-XGEN’s battery life is roughly 8 hours long. It is available immediately at a cost of $1,400. Visit SeamlessInternet.com for more information.
