Well the Apple and Cisco trademark fiasco is all over. Late yesterday the two sides finally came to an agreement over the “iPhone” trademark dispute. Google Goes After GMAiL.pl

Wednesday, February 21st, 2007

GoogleShortly after releasing it’s great Gmail service into the wild for any and all to register it seems that Google found the domain Gmail.pl taken. The polish domain name was taken by a group of Polish Poets. GMAIL stands for Grupa MÅ‚odych Artystów i Literatów (GMAiL) or Group of Young Artists and Writers.

Google has decided to seek action through Poland’s IT and telecommunications tribunal and have gmail.pl because the name is very close to gmail.com (the very famous email service). The owners of gmail.pl are not trying to make money of any potential sale of the name. They want to keep it.

Gazotto.com was Cool Site of The Day (Feb 15)!

Sunday, February 18th, 2007

How would you feel if you found out your little website made the Cool Site of The Day on coolsiteoftheday.com and you didn’t even know it till days later? Yup, you’d probably feel like an idiot.

I feel like a complete idiot. After working hard this past week in college and working on a second project (must keep lips sealed. I will tell you when I complete it). I was checking my inbox today which was filled with so much spam.

So I’m deleting my spam and come across this e-mail from Greg Smith with the subject line: Gazotto is Cool Site of the Day! Horray, but then I realize this is dated on February 12 and the site was cool site on the day on the 15th.

Cross a Street in NY While Listening to Your iPod = $100 Fine

Wednesday, February 7th, 2007

What seems like an outrageous headline could very well soon become a reality for citizens living in New York. Senator Carl Kruger has begun legislation that would basically fine people for walking with any kind of mobile device that could be “distracting” such as BlackBerrys, iPods, and cellphones.
This comes about after a 23 year […]

Apple And Cisco Back at the Table

Thursday, February 1st, 2007

Well it seems that Cisco and Apple are not about to take the “iPhone” trademarked dispute to court just yet. Both have returned to the negotiating table to see if an agreement can be reached. Apple was in negotiations 2 years before Apple released the iPhone, but could not wrangle the trademark away from Cisco.
Apple […]
