In light of Mr. Gates keynote address at the consumer electronics show (CES) the Windows Vista homepage was updated.
It has a fresh new look. The site is of course under construction in some parts. If you have some time check out the Vista hompage.
Here are some of Vista’s features:
Aims to avoid clutter.
New way of switching between programs through Flip 3D.
New Windows Sidebar (houses small applications).
New Windows Slideshow (a small LCD screen built into the side of a laptop that again runs a small application (e.g. calendar).
Clear and easy search function through Vista library.
Internet tabs appear on the right.
Built in parental controls
Excellent gaming experience
Built in edit function for images (plus they save the original).
Next generation Media Player (very clean).
The whole theme of Vista will be clarity and making the experience a good one for the user.
Keep checking the homepage as it gets updated. Vista will be launched officially sometime in the end of 2006.
