Pepper Computers and Hanbit Electronics have collaborated together to release the Pepper Pad 3 Web player. Pepper Pad Web players provide a device that seamlessly access to media, entertainment, and communications that comes out from the Web.

The new Pepper Pad 3 Web player will be able to surf the web three times faster and will incorperate better video playing abilities. The Pad uses the new Pepper Software Platform 3.0 licenced to Pepper Computers.

The software allows a user to surf the Net, access e-mail and instant messaging services, download music, videos, or pictures. The Pepper Pad 3 has a longer battery life than its older version and features faster connections to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth networks, and an integrated webcam.

The Pad 3 uses an AMD Geode LX 800@0.9W processor. The processor runs at very low power and for this reason the Pad 3 has 50% more battery life than the older version. The Pepper Pad 3 is 11.4-inches by 5.9-inches and wieghs in at 2.1 pounds.

The Pepper Pad 3 also features a keyboard, a 7-inch LCD screen, a 20 GB hard drive, and integrated speakers. It also allows for full viewing of websites and videos which isn’t always the case with other PDAs.

The Pepper Pad 3 “offers a far richer viewing experience than small-screen PDAs or mobile phones, and much less maintenance than a complex laptop.” You can use it online to access the web and web-related media, or play media back when you aren’t connected.

The Pad will be available in August costing roughly $300. For more information, visit Pepper’s product page.
