Sony Unveils NW-E Line of Walkman
Sony has released a new series of their popular Walkman lineup. The NW-E series are small almost USB shaped and come in 7 colors: pink, lime green, blue, violet, silver, and black. The NW-E line is small, but stylish.
These Sony Walkman players allow for roughly a maximum of 28 hours of listening. Sony players use the 3 minute 3 hour method by which only 3 minutes of recharging allows for 3 hours of listening time.
Three storage capacities exist for this new line: 2 GB (1,350 songs), 1GB (685 songs), and 512 MB ( 340 songs). The Walkman also contains a built-in FM tuner so you can listen to your favorite station on the go.
The NW-E line has a USB 2.0 connection so you can quickly connect to your computer and transfer songs over. Of course, the computer connection can also be used to charge up the battery or to store regular files (these will not be played).
The display features a one line display that track and title names, the time and date, and other information that you can choose. The NW-E line also has a built-in equalizer with 4 settings (jazz, pop, heavy or custom) so you can hear your music at its best.
The prices for these players are actually pretty reasonable. The NW-E002F (512 MB) costs $70, the NW-E003F (1GB) costs $100, and the NW-E004F (2GB) costs $130. This Walkman line is available in August 2006.
