Sony Ericsson today released the K610im i-mode mobile phone. i-mode allow cell phones to use iMail and provide web content quicker to the user because i-mode downloads content in a way that is formatted specifically for i-mode.
The K610im is the first phone that Sony Ericsson has come out with that contains full i-mode support. The phone allows you to take images you want with their 2-megapixel (built-in) camera, and send them to others using iMMS in high quality.
The camera also has a 2.5x digital zoom (3x is the standard so it’s a little disappointing to see it dip below standard). The images you’ve taken can be viewed on the 1.9-inch LCD screen.
The K610im phone acts as a camera, and a music player, while only weighing 89 grams.
Included with the cell phone is a 64 MB Memory Stick, but you have the option of expanding it to a full 1GB capacity. The 64 MB flash memory stick allows for up to 175 photos or 60 songs (eAAC+ format) to be stored on it.
The K610im cell phone will be released in the European, Asian, and Middle Eastern markets. It is expected to be released in the third quarter of 2006. The phone is Bluetooth enabled.
