Watches. They have got to be one of the coolest things made. Imagine the first time a watch was first made. Wow, no more need of a sundial. And remember the buzz when watches turned digital (well, I don’t but I’m sure there was).

Well Seiko Instruments has developed a watch that - get this - contains vital information about your cell phone via Bluetooth technology. That’s right. I guess it is kind of a timesaver, because it doesn’t require you to take your cell phone out of your pocket and look at the screen.

What the watch can do is particularly interesting. The watch can display the amount of battery life remaining on your phone, notifies you of a message with a ringtone or vibration.

The phone also displays SMS messages but needs to have software developed buy Seiko Instruments. The watch also displays the date and time (which we kind of expected it would). All of this is done with Bluetooth.

The watch is visually appealing, though I’m not too sure about the strap. Anyway, the watch is currently a prototype in the country of Japan. It’s definitely a neat little gadget and an interesting addition to any cell phone, though I doubt its a real necessity.
