Samsung’s SyncMaster 204B 20″ LCD Monitor
Samsung has released their newest monitor in the SyncMaster line.
Today we’ll take a look at the 20″ TFT-LCD screen and look at its features.
The SM204B monitor has a contrast ratio (ratio between brightest and darkest images) of 800:1. This isn’t above average for this type of screen.
The monitor sports a 5ms response time and a .255mm pixel pitch. The pixel pitch appeared to me to be a little high (in this case the lower the pitch the less grainy the picture). It is really an average pitch, but for that size of monitor I was hoping for a little more.
The monitor contains vertical and horizontal viewing angles of 160 degrees which is decent. But, what struck me was that its brightness was poor (300 cd/m2).
Samsung’s SM204B has a maximum resolution of 1600 x 12oo and supports 16.7 million different colors. It comes in two colors: silver and black.
