Philips is showcasing the prototype model of its 100-inch Ambilight High Definition Television at this year’s IFA. The 100-inch television works with the Blu-Ray high definition format. The TV also features Full Surround which Philips states is “the new four-sided version of Philips’ totally unique ambient lighting technology”.

Ambilight is the term used to describe the technology that matches the colors and brightness that are being displayed on the screen. This allows for a more immersive experience when watching television.
