
Nintendo has finally set a date to release it’s new Wii Console. The date -November 19, 2006 (Americas). Mark that one down if you are a Nintendo console fan. The Wii comes packed with a remote controller, a Nunchuk controller, and a 5 sports games on one disc, that Nintedo states can be played by anyone at any gaming level.
The new Wii Console also has features such as the Wii Channel Menu. Users connect the Wii to the TV and the Channel Menu allows them to select games, grab the latest news and weather, view and send photos, and also create a charicatures of themselves that can be used in acutal games.
The Wii controller is unique in that the console is able to detect the position of the controller in a 3D space. The controller can also be used to move through the Channel Menu as we just discussed. The controller allows you to use it as a racket to hit the virtual ball, for example, in the tennis game included in the console. The way they angle their shot or tilt there wrist determines the shot and tries to mimic a real life scenario.
Nintendo will have a total of 30 gaming titles available for the new console by then end of the year (of course some will be available before then). The price of the Wii console is pinpointed at around $249 (US).
