Microsoft’s Zune media player - a player that Microsoft is hoping will take down Apple - will finally become available in the US market tomorrow. We’ve discussed the specs of the Zune and covered the story

before so it’s not too late if you haven’t heard too much about this player.

To kick off the release Microsoft had a huge concert today in Seattle which featured The Secret Machines (a rock band). They also had concerts in Atlanta, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, and New York.

The Zune will be selling for roughly $249 (US) in 30 000 stores across the nation. The Zune is available in brown, black, and white. It contains 30 GB of storage space and features a 3-inch LCD screen.

Some nice features include WiFi connectivity, Zune-to-Zune wireless connectivity, and an FM tuner. Lastly, Microsoft also will include the Zune marketplace with the Zune which will rival iTunes and allow users to find, manage and enjoy their music, pictures and video.

Microsoft has also set up a Zune website so make sure to check it out if you are interested.
