Today we’ll look at another interesting mp3 player: the iRiver H10. It’s packed with some interesting features (including its ability to be hooked up to the new XBOX 360)
Look
The iRiver H10 comes in four brilliant colors: sliver, red, blue, and grey and looks very stylish.
Its dimensions are 10.2 x 6.1 x 2.17 cm giving it a very sleek look.
It has a 1.8″ LCD screen with a rich display. The iRiver H10 also has an ultraintuitive interface with a touch strip.
Tech Specs
Here are some of the features of the iRiver H10 family:
16 hour battery life.
Displays digital photos
32 Equalizer settings
FM tuner and recorder
Holds up to 4800 songs (20GB version)
Reads .txt files
Plays MP3 VBR and WMA files.
The H10 player is PlaysForSure-verified which means it works seamlessly with Windows Media Player.
The H10 series comes in 5GB ($229.99), 6GB ($279.99) and 20 GB($299.99) versions. It also comes with iRiver headphones and a carrying case.
XBOX 360 Feature
The iRiver H10 is the first portable device that will work with the XBOX 360. It will customize gameplay by allowing you to swap your playlists for the game’s soundtrack.
In another words you can now listen to your songs while you play the game. That is a pretty cool feature in my opinion.
The player looks good. I like the features that it contains as well as the XBOX 360 feature. It is stylish.
The only thing that concerned me was the pricing. $229 gets you 5GB. $50 dollars gives you one more GB and then $20 more gave you 14GB more.
I think the lower end H10s are a little high priced. The 20GB version is the same price as the 30GB iPod.
Other than that it is a great product and does have some interesting features which are unmatched by others. iRiver has an amazing reputation of developing good technology.
