Google Realeases Maps and iGoogle For Cell Phone



Google has released the newest version of Google Maps and a customizable Google homepage for your cell phone.

Google Maps mobile is simply a Java program that can be downloaded now can help you to save time in your car. Google Maps now gives you live travel updates and even allows you to save your favorite areas or driving directions.

Users are also able to customize the phone version of their Google’s personalized page and decide what content appears and what content does not.

This latest version is available in the US Canada, France, Italy, Germany, and Spain at the moment and contains full information in 30 areas and partial information in other areas of the US. Some of the cities (in America) where Google Maps can be used are San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston, Chicago, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Seattle, Washington, D.C., and New York City.

Google Maps will overlay the areas with green (light traffic), yellow (moderate traffic), or red (heavy traffic). To download Google Maps: get your phone, connect to the Internet and visit google.com/gmm.

When you log in to your Personalized Google Homepage, you can click on the “mobile” link they have there and then customize your page. Once completed that is the content and the order of content you will see when you access the page on your cell phone.
