Fujitsu Unveils LifeBook Q2010 Notebook

Fujitsu released the thinnest and lightest 12.1-inch notebook in the LifeBook Q2010. It’s thinner than the face of an American quarter and wieghs 2.2 pounds.

The notebook runs on a 1.2 Ghz Intel Core Solo processor chip. It has a 12.1 inch wide LCD screen as mentioned and runs on Windows XP Professional. It comes in three diferrent models so some specs only apply to certain models.

The lower two models both use 512 MB for RAM, but the highest model uses 1 GB of RAM. Hard drive space is also different for each model. The lowest model uses 30 GB (which is kinda below standards as most use 40GB), the model in the middle uses a 40 GB hard drive, and then the highest model jumps all the way up to an 80 GB hard drive.

The notebook uses titanium for really important areas of the notebook, and also places the hard drives in a shock mounted housing to reduce shock to and data loss from the hard drive.

Another neat feature is the biometric scanner that is built into the notebook. This pretty much eliminates the need of passwords and adds another layer of security. Also included is an SD card slot so that you can quickly transfer videos, and images onto your computer.

The LifeBook Q2010 comes with a dual array of microphones with noise cancellation features so that your voice is clear when you having an audio conference or chat.

The two highest models of the Q2010 are Bluetooth enabled, and all models have access to Wi-Fi networks (Tri-mode 802.11a/b/g).

The cost of Fujitsu’s LifeBook Q2010 is $3,199 (highest), $2,399 (middle), and $1,999 (lowest).
