FujiFilm today released the FinePix Z3 digital camera. It promises to be an excellent digital camera so let’s dive in and find out what makes the FinePix Z3 so special. The Z3 is a 5.1 megapixel camera and a 3 times optical zoom. The picture quality is good for this camera as the megapixel rating is above average.

On the other side of the camera we have a 2.5-inch TFT screen on which to preview the image or video you are about to shoot. The TFT screen supports 230,000 pixels. The images taken are stored in the popular JPEG format and can be stored at resolutions between 640 x 480(min) and 2,592 x 1,944 (max).

The FinePix Z3 also supports video recording. It records video at 30 frames per second and can be taken at 320×240 or 640 x 480 pixel resolutions. All media is stored on an xD-Picture Card which you can slide into a slot in the camera.

There are 3 cool features that the FinePix Z3 has that FujiFilm has implemented to make the pictures you take appear sharper.

  1. Picture Stabilization Mode allows you to take sharper images when shooting fast moving objects.
  2. Intelligent Flash allows a proper amount of flash so that backgrounds are revealed and objects closer aren’t overly brightened.
  3. The Natural Light and Flashfeature takes two quick pictures: one with flash and one without for those who aren’t sure what to use. That way you have both.

All the features of the FinePix Z3 are neat, but the last reaches out to a less experienced crowd of photographers who aren’t sure what to use. Of course you get two images for each one you take but the moment is still captured. The stabilization feature is being used by many digital cameras now and makes complete sense to me.

The gadget has the following dimensions: 90.0 x 55.0 x 20.0mm and weighs 155 grams when the batteries have been taken out of the camera. The FinePix Z3 comes in three colors: Pink, Blue, and Silver.
