Dell has launched its fastest notebook that will be able to serve the gaming community. The new XPS M1710 uses dual-core (i.e. two) processors and large memory space to make this baby run. The gadget also looks sleek and visually appealing.
Performance
As mentioned the notebook has tried to put as much as it can into the notebook so that intense games can run on it. Dell’s XPS M1710 uses an Intel Core Duo processor. With two processors put on one chip, the notebook is able to increase performance, and respond quicker with commands.
The notebook also comes available with 1,2 and even 4GB of RAM, which is truly astounding. This allows you to play very intense games without having the computer lag
or freeze.
On top of that they have also include a 256MB (upgraedable to 512MB) NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS which allows for astounding 3D graphics to be displayed easily. All these three factors together: processor, memory, and graphics card allow for very serious game playing. What is good to see is that no one part is lacking, so the notebook doesn’t fail in any aspect of game play.
Display
The XPS M1710 features a 17″ UXGA widescreen display that can output a maximum 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution. The display is able to produce images that are 30% brighter and 10% sharper due to the TrueLife feature which produces a higher contrast ratio than other screens.
Notebook Design
The XPS M1710 comes in standard black or (for a limited time) metallic red. This Dell notebook is also “RoadReady”, which means it is able to stand up to minor drops and shakes.
Tech Specs
There are many other technical features listed below. Slashes between specifications indicate a choice the user has in choosing a different model which is reflected in the price.
At $2588 (the highest model is $3474) this isn’t the notebook for the business guy. It has been strictly built for those who want to bring gaming on their laptop computer. The XPS M1710 packs brilliant feature for seamless and fun game play. I love it.
