Asus has released two new gaming notebooks: the G1 and the G2 laptops. Both laptops provide a gaming experience that quick reacting audio and video performances, with abundant features in regards to RAM and video memory. The laptops also have very nice 15.4 or 17-inch widescreen displays.

One’s gaming experience is also enhanced by side and front speakers, Direct Flash sidelights which turn on when Direct X9 support is enabled, and the W, A, S, and D keys are highlighted for easy reference.

The covers for the G1 and G2 gaming notebooks are built in such a way so that they are more resistant to paint chipping off and provide a very nice look that you don’t get with normal notebooks.

The notebooks also include a built in camera and speaker which can be used for internet conferencing, or in a gaming situations, to see and communicate with other players. You can also increases the sharpness of the images you see on the notebooks by switching the display to Game or Night View modes.

The notebook makes Bluetooth or WLAN connectivity a snap, and also includes USB ports, a memory card reader, and a TV out port.

In terms of gaming specs the G1 and G2 will run on Intel 2 Core Duo processors that will range between 1.6 Ghz and 2.33 GHz clock speeds. Up to 2GB of RAM can be installed on these notebooks which would provide an astounding amount of added speed.

It also will include the NVidia GeForce Go7700 512 Graphics Card for amazing video experience when playing highly advanced games. Hard drive capacity will range between 80 to 160 GB of hard drive space depending on the model you choose to buy.

In terms of looks, these two notebooks look very nice. The side lights are a neat touch and the backpacks are also sleek in appearence. Asus hasn’t really left anything out - every part of the computer relating to gaming is of a strong enough quality to play the most graphically advanced game currently on the market.
