Security

Security for the information that you store on your computer or in hand held devices like the UMPC are paramount. Today, probably more then ever, there are threats from viruses, hackers, all targetted at getting your information.

Asus’ R2H UMPC has a fingerprint scanner that we already mentioned. Fingerprint scanners are slowly become standards on notebook computers and allow an extra layer of security between a theif and your data.

The scanner checks the live layer of skin underneath the outer layer. This prevents unwanted rejections from any blemishes or anything that might be on the visible layer of skin.

The R2H comes with the ASUS Security Protect Management and allows for users to select features for each level of security.

Usability

The R2H UMPC uses the Windows XP Tablet PC Edition. It has function buttons and a mouse laid out on both sides of the display for easy use and functionality.

Wireless Capabilities

The UMPC from Asus connects to Bluetooth and wireless networks. It also contains a foldable GPS antenna that can give users directions so you will never need maps again.
