Google released a press release that claimed its next move to release Google Romance with the tagline: Pin All Your Romantic Hopes on Google. Google claimed that the new service filled the need to fulfill simply another search problem.

The service would allow you to upload romantic information about yourself, receive search results via Soulmate Search, and even send you on a free date - provided you allowed Google to deliver relevent ads.

You could even get a full tour of the “new” service.

Google has had a tradition of surprising us with a prank every April Fool’s. This year was no different. I’m sure many we’re fooled by Google’s press release, but others, like myself, were all very aware of the regular tradition.

Well, I wouldn’t pin any hopes on finding true love on Google any time soon. Though you gotta wonder, was this one of their ideas that they thought wouldn’t fly? If you wanna see older April Fool’s jokes you can see them here, here, and here.
