Cellboost & iRecharge For iPod & iPod mini

cellboostSo, you are enjoying a picnic with family and listening to your iPod when the battery dies. Since, there is not computer in sight to recharge the iPod . . . that normally would mean the end of your listening experience.

Thankfully, that isn’t so. Cellboost has provided two wonderful products that can allow you to listen to your music . . . even when your iPod’s battery is dead.

Cellboost For iPod & iPod Mini

This product is basically a disposable battery for the iPod. You simply attach it to the bottom of the iPod and Cellboost provides 8 hours of battery life.

These are disposable, so you’ll need to buy another one once it’s used up. The Cellboost for the iPod and iPod mini goes for around $9.99.

Cellboost though realized . . . that some would like to have a rechargeable backup battery with more battery life.

They also have the iRecharge for the iPod and iPod mini.

iRecharge For iPod & iPod Mini

Image hosted by Photobucket.com This battery acts just like the Cellboost, but it has a 12 hour battery life.

That means you can listen to your music for a lot longer. It also is rechargeable which makes it a very convenient product.

Again you just connect to the iPod’s USB connection and it delivers.

Cellboost’s iRecharge goes for around $79.99. But you also get a belt clip and a protective case that fits over the iPod and Cellboost.

iRecharge for iPod Shuffle

Cellboost also provides a similar product for the iPod shuffle. It allows for 40 hours of music playing and costs only $39.99 and comes with three protective sleeves.

I actually was happy when I saw this product. More products are finally coming out to fix the problem of mp3 players with embedded batteries.

I’ve had friends who hate the iPod for that reason - When the battery dies, you can’t replace it; you need to recharge it.

The recharging time of the iPod is long and you end up waiting forever. Cellboost and Cellboost’s iRecharge solve this problem by letting you listen to your music and then recharging your iPod when you really want to.

I like both of these products. I’m happy that Cellboost did come out with the iRecharge which was the next logical solution to the problem.

It will be interesting to see if Cellboost will soon offer products for the iPod nano.
